Julius Caesar noted that the Gaul of his time was divided in three parts.

Similarly, the Law of our time is divided into three part:

• Criminal Law;
• Civil Law;
• Contract Law.

But some one has noted that "Contract Law is the Twilight Zone of Law". Why?

Here's one of the reasons. Under Criminal Law, if the case of an accused doesn't go into the court in a couple of years, he might be set free because his Constitutional Right to a Trial has been violated. But records tell of a Patent Case that was dragged out in the Court for 99 years!

If a corporation wants the patent of an independent inventor, the corporation can drag out the case until the inventor can't pay for his defense -- then grab the patent, by default.
