Do you realize that our "language of Love" is very impoverished?I created a general term, "VARILOVE", to encompass all the various kinds of Love. And I singled out a foursome of special forms, comparing these to "physical forces or ineractions".
- SELFLOVE. Jesus said, "Love thy neighbor as thyself" and "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Others have made similar comments. You must LOVE YOURSELF in order to LOVE OTHERS.
- EROLOVE. I hate the word "sssssexxxxxxxxxx" in this context. I write it to sound like the hissing of the serpent in The Garden of Eden. I say "hetero-erotic" and "homo-erotic". I also speak of GENDERBLENDING WITH THE GENDERBLENDERS. ("Girls have INSY GENDERBLENDERS. Boys have OUTSY GENDERBLENDERS.")
- PHILIAL LOVE: FRIENDSHIP LOVE. Please note the spelling: "philial" is Greek for "friend-like"", whereas "filial" is "sonlike".
- ALTRUISM or AGAPE. Love of "the stranger".
Particle physicist speak of "four basic forces of interactions: Strong (between nuclear components); ELECTROMAGNETIC (between electrons, protons, and other charged particled); WEAK (involved in radio-activity); GRAVITY. THE STRONGEST FORCES OR INTERACTIONS HAVE THE SHORTEST RANGE, AND VICE VERSA.
Similarly, THE STRONGEST LOVES HAVE THE SHORTEST RANGE AND VICE VERSA.
I'll dwell no more on VARILOVE except to note the following. Only a few humans are blessed with the talent to CREATE IN ART OR SCIENCE OR WHATEVER. But few if any realize that LOVE IS CREATIVE. When you love a child enough, the child "blossoms"", similarly with adults.
Everyone can learn the "LOVE IS CREATIVE" STRATEGY. And the "role-playing" aspect again (as with other activities discussed herein) single out actors as teachers for this!
