CHROMOTUBULAR BELLS

Technology permits construction of glass tubes "as strong as steel" -- the steel used to make tubular bells for an orchestra or combo.

The novelty here would be that these "transparent" glass tubulars could be filled with different kinds of gas. We know that striking a container of some types of gas gives rise to a flash of light of a color-corresponding-to-the-gas.

If such chromotubular bells could be constructed "tuneefully", they might provide both a "music of sound" and a "music of color".
