Stern clerics such as Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson disapprove thoroughly with "couples living together withou benefit of clergy". They correctly surmise that the "couplers" do not wish to make a public commitment to each other.

(My position is that the commitment of marriage must be made in the case of children!)

But Falwell and Robertson do not seem to see that The U. S. Government has a commitment to young men and women when they send them out to risk wounding and death "for their country".

Is this not a double standard?

Unfortunely, other clerics show the same "moral blindness" on this issue.
