Faraday was perhaps the greatest physics-chemistry demonstrator in history. He often performed in a hall of a thousand people, before Queen Victoria, and other notables from all over the world.

He discovered some of the laws of electrcity and electro-chemistry and invented the DC motor and dynamo (for generating electricithy). Faraday generalized the idea of iron filings around a magnet to the conception of an electromagnetic field pervading all space, which inspired William Clerk Maxwell to creat the laws of electromagnetics, leading to the invention of the radio by Heinrich Hertz.
