We vitally need a SUBLANGUAGE which is univocal (speaking with one voice, not many disparate ones), or univalent (one value, or one meaning to each word) so that we may have CONSENSUS OF COMMUNICATION each time we use this particular SUBLANGUAGE. We have long had the comparable endowment in music, due to fine-tuning and well crafted musical instruments. But part of our craft of language is still primitive: not well-tuned and not provided with well crafted devices for projecting it.

But I see this need only as a SUBLANGUAGE of our LANGUAGE. We not only can retain that SUBLANGUAGE which, in poetry and puns, revels in MULTIMEANINGFUL WORDS. Its very existence and function helps to highlight the nature and value of UNIVALENT LANGUAGE. The development of these tWO antithetic sublanguages may reciprocally indicate opportunities for development of its antithesis!
