Many English-writing physicists have imported the word "Ansatz" from the German language to mean, roughly, "Let's assume that things are like this, or work like this -- to see what this buys us". (For example, "Let's assume that 'what's out there' can be described as 3-D-in-space and 1-D-in-time -- and see what this buys us.") I extend "ansatz" to all science.

(Think of a strategy as a package; an ansatz, as a perspective.)

Each of the strategies (or ansatzes) below formulates a hypothesis, namely, that WHAT IS CONSIDERED (BY THE GIVEN STRATEGY OR ANSATZ) FITS A PATTERN (CONFORMING WITH THAT STRATEGY or ANSATZ). Furthermore, that is a WIN-WIN HYPOTHESIS.

For, if the hypothesis is confirmed, you WIN. If not confirmed, the STRATEGY (ANSATZ) IS TAILORED SO THAT FAILURE REVEALS SOMETHING YOU NEVER KNEW OR THOUGHT OF INVESTIGATING. So, you WIN, after all!

EVERY STRATEGY OR ANSATZ IS POTENTIALLY A PROSTHETIC, AND CANBE SO USED BY ANY KNOWING INDIVIDUAL.
